Call for Posters

On behalf of the ISCRAM 2025 Conference Committee, we are delighted to invite you to submit a proposal for a Poster presentation. We look forward to your participation in showcasing your work to a dedicated, international audience of ISCRAM researchers and practitioners, all while enjoying the charming city of Halifax!

 

The Poster Sessions will be Chaired by Meghan M. Dunn.

WHAT AND HOW TO SUBMIT
  • To be considered, please submit an abstract of your poster using the supplied template. The abstract of 350 - 500 words, should outline the main theme of your poster and its connection to ISCRAM topics or to the ISCRAM 2025 theme. Your abstract will be published in the Conference Proceedings.

  • At least one poster author must register for and attend the main conference. All submissions will be made electronically using the provided ISCRAM template. Please send your abstract document to iscram2025@dal.ca by February 23, 2025 (with Subject Line: “POSTER Abstract”). The review results will be communicated by March 5, 2025. In case of further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us via email.

TOPICS OF INTEREST

The theme of the ISCRAM 2025 conference is “Managing and Responding to Coastal Disasters and Climate Change.” Coastal communities are particularly vulnerable to various natural pressures associated with the ocean and atmosphere, whether slow-acting, such as erosion or salt-water intrusion, or precipitous, such as hurricanes or storm surges. Innumerable studies and policies focus on community adaptation and improved resilience, but some hazards inevitably overwhelm the social system, requiring emergency response. Some of these natural phenomena are exacerbated by climate change, which can affect the frequency and/or the severity of adverse events.

 

Poster topics that fall within ISCRAM’s scope are acceptable, and those that address this year’s conference Theme or topical Tracks (listed below) are particularly welcome:
